So, mit Hilfe eines Zufalls-Generators habe ich die Gewinner der drei Exemplare des Babysocken-Strickmusters ermittelt. Und jetzt geht es weiter auf Englisch...

I just drew the winners with a little help of a random number generator. First, thank you to all who visited and especially to those who left a comment. I enjoyed this very much. For all who haven't been lucky and, of course, also for those who were, there will be another giveaway very soon and this time it's something to make yourself happy with.

Baby Söckchen

Die Söckchen für Katharina und Emily sind nicht nur fertig, gestern habe ich sie trotz Regen endlich mal so richtig von allen Seiten fotografiert. Schließlich muss ich sie so langsam den Empfängern übergeben.

Emily hat ihre (weiß/rosa) gestern Abend bekommen und gleich interessiert damit gespielt. Ich hoffe, das ist ein Zeichen, dass dieses Kind Wolle mag. Katharina bekommt die hellblauen heute mit der Post geschickt. (Deshalb der Umschlag im Hintergrund.)

Zu den Einzelheiten: die weißen Söckchen sind für ein 9 Monate altes Baby und haben am Beinabschluss eine Rüsche. Die Hellblauen sind für ein 3 Monate altes Baby und haben einen Mausezähnchenabschluss.

The socks for Katharina and Emily are now not only finished but have also been photographed a lot. There was a lot of rain, which is bad for pictures, but I finally had to give these socks away to their receipients.

Emily did get hers (the white/pink ones) yesterday evening and started to explore and  play with them right away. I hope this is a good sign for a wool loving kid. Katharina will get hers (pale blue) by mail today. (That's why the manila envelope is in the background.)

The details: the white socks are sized for a 9 month old and have a frilly cuff edge. The pale blue ones are for a 3 month old and have a picot edging.

Wochenrückblick

Was bisher geschah:

Ich habe für meine geplante Strickjacke ein Blattrankenmuster gesucht. Lochmuster sind leider nicht so ganz das Richtige - ich möchte nicht unbedingt, dass man durchgucken kann, aber viel wichtiger, sie sind länger als Zopfmuster oder glatt rechts/links. Noch dazu müsste ich das, das ich am schönsten finde, von oben nach unten stricken, damit sich die Blätter an der fertigen Jacke nach oben ranken. Und dazu short rows, um die Länge auszugleichen. Oder alle Ranken extra und dann einnähen. Hmpf! Also begann ich mit Millimeterpapier und ner Menge Geduld herumzuexperimentieren. Ich denke, das Ergebnis kann sich sehen lassen. Allerdings weiß ich noch nicht, ob ich zu 100% zufrieden bin...

I was looking for a leaf pattern for my planned cardigan. Lace isn't just the right thing - I don't want to go for see through with this cardi, but most important the lace panel would be longer than cables or plain stockinette. I also would have to knit from the top down so that the pattern would go up and add short rows. Or knit each lace panel seperately. Hmpf! So I grabbed some graph paper and startet patiently to experiment. I think the result is quite nice. Although I have to admit that I'm not sure if I'm 100% happy...

Außerdem habe ich das helle Babysöckchen nochmal neu gestrickt (das erste Mal war es vieeeeel zu groß) und ein zweites ist jetzt auch auf dem Weg zur Vervollständigung. Die hellblauen sind auch fertig und wurden per Mail mit den Maßen der kleinen Empfängerin (bald 3 Monate alt) verglichen. Wenn ich etwas Zeit finde, werde ich die Anleitung vielleicht aufschreiben und veröffentlichen.

I have reknitted the fair babysock. The first time it came out muuuuch to big. The second one is coming on, too. The baby blue ones are also finished and the measurements were checked by mail. They will fit the small receipient (almost 3 month old). If I find the time, I'll perhaps write the pattern down and publish it.
