Wochenrückblick

In der vergangenen Woche habe ich mich hauptsächlich meinen neuen Handschuhen gewidmet und fleißig gestrickt. Ich habe sie tatsächlich auch schon am Samstag fertig gestrickt und bin jetzt dabei die Nähte zu schließen. Es fehlen nur noch die beiden Seitennähte an den Handflächen und dann habe ich sie fertig!

Irgendwie scheint momentan alles aufs Handnähen hinaus zu laufen. Das neue Futter für den Mantel habe ich auch soweit es mit der Maschine ging zusammengesetzt und eingenäht. Jetzt fehlt nur noch die Saumbefestigung an beiden Ärmeln und am Saum. Juchu... irgendwie ist mit der Hand zu nähen für mich nicht wirklich befriedigend. Aber wenigstens habe ich mich für ein Futter entschieden, dessen Farbe für fast alles entschädigt. Ich liebe Erdbeerrot!

Last week I mainly took care of my new gloves and so have  been knitting a lot. I really finished the knitting part on saturday and am still occupied by sewing all those seams together. Until now only both palm seams are still waiting to be sewn.

Stangely enough hand sewing is where I am heading also with my other project. The new lining for my old coat. I have mashine sewn last week everything and also have attached the lining by mashine as far as I could manage. So now all that is left to do is hand sewing the hem and the sleeve hems. Yeah... I'm really not at all enjoying this process. But at least I did chose a lining colour that rewards for almost everything. I do love strawberry red!
