Nr. 100

Uff, das hat mich ganz schön überrascht: schon der 100. Post. Irgendwie hatte ich daraufhin das Gefühl, etwas ganz besonderes schreiben zu müssen... aber ich habe beschlossen, dass das Quatsch ist.

Maschenprobe/swatch

Also hier ein ganz normaler "Verspäteter Wochenrückblick-Post". Letzte Woche habe ich pünktlich am 1. Oktober den Maschenanschlag für mein nächstes Projekt gemacht. Es ist der Fair Isle Jumper aus "A Stitch in Time". Und es geht erstaunlich schnell voran. Am Wochenende schaffte ich an jedem Tag ein Knäul, also je ca 20cm! Das hat auch mit einer gemütlichen Zugfahrt zu tun. Denn wenig ist gemütlicher als Zug zu fahren, Cast On zu hören und zu stricken.

Das ist auch so ziemlich der Stand bis jetzt, da das Renovieren der Küche dazwischen gekommen ist... Das Garn ist übrigens Lifestyle von Zitron ein feineres Merinogarn, das ich mit 3mm Nadeln stricke, damit es fürs Strickmuster passt. Die Hauptfarbe ist ein dunkles Pflaumenviolett und für die Musterfarbe habe ich ein meliertes Grau geplant. Aber der Teil mit dem Muster wird zuletzt gestrickt...

This is already post nr. 100. This quite surprised me und somehow triggered the feeling that I had to make it something special...but as this kind of blocked me I decided that this is nonsense.

im Zug/on the train

So here comes a very normal post about last weeks crafting. On the first of October I made the cast on for my next project. It's the Fair Isle Jumper from "A Stitch in Time". And it's coming along quite fast. Last weekend I finished a ball each day which resulted in 20cm each! This is partly caused by a nice train ride. There are a few things as nice as a slow train ride spend looking out the window, listening to Cast On and knitting.


This is how far I still am as painting the kitchen is occupying my spare time at the moment... By the way the yarn I'm using is Lifestyle from Zitron a fingering weight merino which I knit on 3mm needles to get gauge. The main colour is a dark plum, the contrast colour will be a heathered grey. But the fair isle part will be knit last...
