Herbst-Planung

Als nächstes großes Näh-Projekt plane ich eine Jeans. Meine Aktuelle ist leider so tief geschnitten, dass sie ständig trotz Gürtel rutscht. Außerdem kann ich nur sehr wenige Teile meines Kleiderschranks dazu tragen ohne bauchfrei herumzulaufen - und das bin ich nicht mal mit 15 (und damals war das total angesagt).

Auf der Suche nach einer Inspirationsquelle bin ich bei den 70ern hängen geblieben. Das heißt fast taillenhohe, knackige Jeans mit langen, nach unten weiten Beinen. Und natürlich im von mir geliebten dunkelblauen Denim ohne Gummi. Ungefähr so, schmacht. Nur die Taschen träume ich mir anders. Aber zum einen sind diese Jeans leider außerhalb meines Budgets und zum anderen ist es für mich aus Erfahrung sehr heikel eine gut sitzende Hose zu finden, weshalb ich Jeans nicht per Online-Shop aus den USA bestellen mag. Das bedeutet für mich also selber nähen. Ob ich dazu einen fertigen Schnitt nehme und abwandle oder einen neu erstelle, muss ich noch sehen. Aber ich denke mal, der Aufwand einen neu zu erstellen ist für mich fast geringer, als an einem fertigen Schnitt rumzudoktern... Wir werden sehen.

My next big sewing project will be a pair of jeans. The pair I wear at the moment is cut so deep it is constantly moving downwards even though I'm wearing a belt. In addition to this I can only wear a couple of my tops with it without baring my midriff. Something I even didn't consider doing when I was 15 and it was trendy.


Looking for an inspiration I got stuck on the 70s. This means almost waist high figure hugging jeans with a straight, wide leg. And of course dark blue denim. Only cotton. Very much indeed like this one, drool. The only thing I dreamed up differently are the pockets. But anyway, this pair of jeans is out of my budget as well as mail-order and I have a really difficult figure for trousers. So I'm going to sew one myself. I haven't yet decided if I take a bought pattern and make it work or if just draft one from scratch. Thinking about the amount of changes I'd have to do on a bought pattern drafting actually doesn't sound like more work. We'll see.
